Here at Rotaflow we produce swivel joints that are used by industries that are vital for supporting manufacturing processes.
Although our workload has slowed somewhat during lockdown, we have still been producing swivel joints for a highly diverse range of industries across the globe. In 2020 alone we have sent swivel joints to the following: Abu Dhabi, Australia, Austria, Barhain, China, Germany, Ireland, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Thailand, USA and all of the UK.

Despite the virtual shutdown of the world, at Rotaflow our engineers and manufacturing staff have been busy deigning and manufacturing the world-leading swivel joints our customers have come to expect from us.
The pandemic has forced a change in our working practices temporarily, but even despite that we have continued to operate as efficiently as possible. We have still designed, manufactured and tested our swivel joints quickly and with the highest quality. They’ve been dispatched all over the globe despite these unprecedented times.
The Future of UK Engineering and Manufacturing
What we have learned during the pandemic is that UK engineering remains a key sector and will continue to thrive.
In our inter-connected world the outsourcing of manufacturing to other countries has arguably left us exposed and over-reliant on others. With the disruption in global supply chains leading to shortages of a variety of products, it may have forced the hand of many to start looking closer to home for production of goods. In the longer term, this can only be a good thing.
At Rotaflow we provide integral parts to machinery across a wide range of engineering and manufacturing sectors, so we are optimistic about the future of the sector in this country. With almost 40 years of expertise and production knowledge on our side, we are perfectly-placed to help support domestic engineering and manufacturing.
At the time of writing there is optimism about the progression of a vaccine and advances in the treatment of Coronavirus, so hopefully in 2021 we can return to a version of normality and allow our sector to flourish as the wider global economy returns to its pre-virus levels. We also hope that more production of goods will return to UK shores now we’ve realised the difficulties with relying on overseas production for so many of the products we use daily.
In the UK we can boast some of the highest quality design and engineering. It’s about time we started to utilise this and promote quality and service over price.
